Engraved signage under 12" x 12" is a flat rate per square inch. Larger stencil or panel projects are quoted individually.

Both rates cover any combination of text, logos, barcodes, or shapes on the same sign. Every piece has a $3.00 minimum regardless of size. 3M 467MP or 468MP adhesive backing is available for peel-and-stick applications at a small upcharge. Large-format stencils and panels over 12" x 12" are quoted individually. SC sales tax applies to local orders.

What is the difference between 1/16" and 1/8" acrylic?

1/16" acrylic is the standard thickness for most nameplates, equipment labels, and small signs. It is lightweight and even has some flex, which works well on curved surfaces. 1/8" acrylic is twice as thick, noticeably more rigid, and better suited for wall-mounted signs, control panels, and any application where durability and a substantial feel matter.

What is the difference between Gemini Duets XT and Rowmark LaserMax?

Both are two-layer, UV-stable acrylic designed for outdoor and industrial use. Gemini Duets XT offers a wider selection of brushed metal finishes and gloss options. Rowmark LaserMax features a chemical-resistant cap layer and carries UL94-HB certification, making it a strong choice for safety-critical and industrial environments. Both engrave cleanly with a laser and produce crisp, high-contrast results.

How does the per-square-inch pricing work?

Measure the total sign area in square inches (width x height). A 4" x 6" nameplate in 1/16" acrylic is 24 square inches at $0.70, so it would cost $16.80. The same piece in 1/8" acrylic would be $20.40. Every piece carries a $3.00 minimum, so very small tags are still at least $3.00 each. The price covers any engraved content on the sign, whether that is text, a logo, a barcode, or a combination. Both rates apply to signs up to 12" x 12" (144 sq in).

Can you cut custom shapes, or only rectangles?

The laser can cut any profile: rounded corners, circles, arches, keyholes, or fully custom outlines from your artwork file. Shape complexity does not change the per-square-inch price for signs under 12" x 12".

What file format should I send for my artwork?

Vector files work best: .AI, .SVG, or high-resolution .PDF files are ideal. High-resolution .PNG files (300 dpi+) with a transparent background are also accepted. If you only have a JPG or a low-resolution file, send it anyway and we will let you know during the proof stage if anything needs to be cleaned up.

Will these signs hold up outdoors?

Yes. Both Gemini Duets XT and Rowmark LaserMax are UV-stable and engineered for permanent outdoor installation. The engraving goes through the top layer to reveal the contrasting core, so there is no ink or paint to fade. These materials are used across the signage industry for exterior wayfinding, safety signage, and industrial identification.

What is the turnaround time?

Most orders are completed within 5–10 business days after artwork approval and payment. Rush orders may be available. Mention your deadline in your quote request and we will do our best to accommodate it.

Can each sign in a batch have different text?

Yes. Laser engraving makes variable data easy. Each sign can carry its own text, serial number, room number, or other unique content at no extra charge per piece. Just send us a list and we handle the rest.

Can you add adhesive backing for peel-and-stick mounting?

Yes. We offer 3M 467MP and 3M 468MP adhesive transfer tape applied to the back of finished signs. Both are industrial-grade pressure-sensitive adhesives designed for permanent bonding to metals, plastics, and painted surfaces. A small upcharge applies per piece. Just mention it when you request a quote.

Do you offer shipping?

Yes. Shipping is available on all orders. We will provide a shipping quote based on your order size and destination when we confirm your quote. Local pickup in the Upstate SC area is always available at no extra charge.
